Wheel alignment

We don't just fit tyres

Here at Tyre medics we replace brakes, check and adjust wheel alignment and check and replace batteries. Much of this can be done on location for maximum customer convenience.

In our clean, modern Drive in Centres we balance wheels, replace batteries as well as fitting any tyre to any vehicle including motorcycles and caravans. We stock all main brands including Nexen, Dunlop, Bridgestone, Pirelli and many more.

Are you going away? Why not call into our Drive in Centre and have your vehicle’s tyres, brakes and batteries checked to avoid a holiday disaster. Alternatively, tyres and batteries can be fitted at a location that suits you, so you don’t even need to go out!

Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment needs checking annually and can prolong the life of your tyres as well as save fuel use and reduce problems with steering and suspension.

Hitting a kerb or a pothole can cause wheel alignment issues. If wheels are misaligned, there can be excessive wearing on the inside or outside edges. At Tyre Medics, we use the most up-to-date Hunter wheel alignment to ensure perfect set up for your tyres.

Get your brakes checked with no obligation

At the Tyre Medic Drive in Centres we will thoroughly inspect your brakes and report our findings. We can quote on any replacements or adjustments.

If you are experiencing any symptoms such as grinding, squeaking or sponginess, or if your vehicle is pulling left or right when braking, you should book in for an inspection straight away. You should also have your brake fluid changed every two years to maintain its effectiveness.

Stay safe!

Car and van batteries

At Tyre Medics we can test the condition of your battery and replace it with a new one if required..

We can check your battery either on location or in one of our Drive in Centres. If we find you need a new one, we can fit a competitively priced replacement battery. We can advise on the best battery for your vehicle.

Don’t leave it until you can’t start your vehicle!

The easiest way to check your tyre tread depth is to put a 20 pence piece in the groove of the tyre. If you can see the inner ring then your tread depth is getting to 3mm and you should consider getting your tyres changed soon.

Your owners manual should show you what your correct tyre pressure should be for your car. Once you have this, the easiest way to check your tyre pressure is to go to a petrol station and use their digital compressed air pump.

See our blog post here for a video about this subject.

For a good visual inspection of your tyres you want to check each tyre for any damage to the wall of the tyre, any objects embedded in the tyre such as nails and make sure there are no lumps, scars or cuts in the tyre. If your tyre has any of these then you should have it inspected immediately.
